Woodworkers group (closed)

Our woodworkers group, sadly, has formally wound up, due to the increasing age and decreasing numbers of members – but those who can will continue to meet informally each month. Regular social contact – and for many of our older folk,  ‘an outing’ – are important for many of our Society’s members, along with learning and sharing artisan and artistic skills and ideas.

Individual woodturning and woodworking members of the Society may still sell their artfully crafted work in our Shop and Gallery; the wooden bowls and toys (photos below), for example, are very popular gifts.

Tools and equipment whose owners couldn’t be identified is being donated to The Shed Project, Kapiti, a local organisation working to improve the lives of local differently abled people.
